Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NRCMA, or CCMA) – Required at time of hire and must be maintained
  • Current BLS Certification (or ability to obtain before starting)
  • Knowledge of Point-Of-Ccare TestingPOCT, Immunizations, and Injections
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills
  • Excellent Organization & Time Management
  • Customer Service Rockstar
  • Tech-Savvy, Comfortable with Microsoft applications and EMR systems
  • Radiology Certification, if applicable
  • Graduation from an accredited practical or vocational nursing program
  • Current license as a practical nurse in the State of Missouri
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BCLS)
Responsibilities
  • Getting Patients Ready to Shine by prepping charts, checking vitals, and setting the stage for great care
  • Hands-On Clinical Work including administering medications, giving immunizations, collecting specimens, and assisting with minor procedures like wound care and suture removal
  • Maintaining patient records and staying up to date in the electronic medical records system
  • Supporting providers, participating in team huddles, and helping keep the clinic running like a well-oiled machine
  • Educating patients about their treatment plans, new medications, and follow-up care
  • Providing compassionate nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse in a variety of settings including acute care, long-term care, home health, and ambulatory care
  • Conducting patient assessments, collecting data, and documenting care with precision and attention to detail
  • Administering medications and treatments and documenting them following all necessary protocols
  • Collaborating and communicating with the healthcare team to ensure patients receive the best care possible
  • Following the Missouri State Board of Nurse Practice Act to ensure safe care for every patient
