- A bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent experience and education.
- At least two years of technical experience in a laboratory setting.
- Proficiency in Epic is required.
- Relevant American Society for Clinical Pathology, American Medical Technologists, or American Association for Bioanalysts certification is required, including an accepted Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Laboratory Technician, Medical Technologist, or specialty certification.
- The employee must be able to perform the listed physical activities, including frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, sitting, standing, walking, reaching, repetitive movements, keyboard use and data entry, and occasional bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping, and lifting objects weighing 25–50 pounds.
- Partner with laboratory leaders to evaluate current workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and position laboratory information system solutions effectively.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on laboratory applications, including system capabilities, technical features, and clinical relevance.
- Lead on-site and virtual demonstrations, workflow assessments, and training sessions tailored to laboratory use cases.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support customer success from initial engagement through full implementation.
- Configure, customize, and maintain laboratory applications, including user access management and system troubleshooting.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security within the application through validation, reporting, and compliance with data-governance standards.
- Analyze laboratory workflows to identify inefficiencies and develop strategies to streamline operations and improve productivity.
- Train laboratory staff, provide ongoing application support, and develop comprehensive training materials.
- Gather and analyze data related to compliance performance metrics and communicate findings to key stakeholders.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as HIPAA, CLIA, and other applicable guidelines.
- Act as a liaison between information technology, Epic, laboratory operations, and vendors to resolve issues and support continuous-improvement initiatives.
