Requirements
- Manage multiple tasks, prioritize and organize workload and meet deadlines
- Keep management updated of progress on projects and report back any difficulties, drawing on analytical or problem solving skills to resolve any difficulties
- Ability to take on ad-hoc projects will exhibiting time management skills to ensure that monthly recurring tasks are completed as expected
- Bachelors in Accounting or Finance required
- Previous creative/industry experience (6+ years), which bills fixed price project or time-based fees plus expenses, or equivalent - strong preference for advertising/design business background- Definite knowledge of a creative fast paced environment
- Client financial experience preferred
- Familiarity with financial accounting working practices and standards
- Experience of business planning cycle, budgeting process for the business, financial analysis, forecasting, profitability analysis, management accounts
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel, strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills (written and oral), organization ability and attention of detail, analytical, project management, customer service, documentation and technical writing skills
- Financial software experience preferred but not compulsory
Responsibilities
- Support the Location Finance Director in the overall financial management of the team's client portfolio. This includes being responsible for accurately forecasting, analyzing, and reporting client revenue; constant analysis of resource allocation, recoverability and utilization (planned, sold and actual) and its correlation to client profitability
- Work with Location Finance Director to be a financial and commercial partner to the Ogilvy Account team/s (and other internal departments as appropriate), by reviewing and approving scopes of work, and properly pricing staff plans for client engagements with an overall review for reasonableness
- Support the Location Finance Director in monitoring contractual relationships with clients to ensure compliance with all commercial and compensation terms
- Work with Location FD to review and negotiate contracts with suppliers and consultants
- Responsible for monthly revenue recognition for material clients according to corporate guidelines and compliance with SOX. Maintain proper support and documentation for related revenue accruals and deferrals
- Liaise and advise account teams on all commercial matters including issues related to: budgets, billings, expenses and collections and work in conjunction to reach appropriate solutions
- Oversee and manage client finance analysts review of WIP, AR and related variance analysis - as well as monthly revenue reconciliation of billing, accrued revenue, deferred income and payments to other intercompany units
- Actively partner with client's procurement team, as well as internal/external/client audit teams on all key financial matters
