Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • August 31, 2026 ACAS guidance and August 25, 2026 tariff advisories drive consulting demand.
  • Laufer keeps winning complexity work, including Global Forwarding assets in June 2023.
  • April 2026-style customs changes reward brokers that translate rules into immediate operational savings.

What critics are saying

  • Tariff whiplash, including Section 338 on August 22, 2026, squeezes customer margins.
  • Freight forwarding remains brutally commoditized; digital brokers and carriers pressure pricing continuously.
  • A prolonged trade downturn could crush volume, then force layoffs or a strategic sale.

What makes Laufer Group International unique

  • Laufer pairs customs brokerage, NVOCC, and air/ocean forwarding for mid-market shippers.
  • PeerPlus gives customers shipment visibility and control across complex international trade lanes.
  • Its 1948 New York roots and 200-plus employees support deep compliance expertise.
