Responsibilities
  • Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework.
  • Gain a financial commitment from patients to begin the dentistry diagnosed by the Dentist.
  • Achieve proficiency in the PDS system and use its tools to help patients make decisions suited to their wants and needs.
  • Execute the Healthcare Coordinator handoff in partnership with each clinician for every examination patient.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on available financial options so patients can choose treatment that fits their budget.
  • Professionally overcome common patient objections to starting treatment.
  • Obtain necessary insurance pre-authorizations before completing treatment when required.
  • Ensure offices exemplify the Comprehensive Care Model and manage referrals outside the office.
  • Participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings.
  • Understand business imperatives and how the role directly impacts metrics and results.
  • Demonstrate stewardship of the PDS brand by making decisions consistent with its brand framework.
  • Become knowledgeable about the Mouth Body Connection and support clinical excellence through comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policies, addressing others professionally and respectfully.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and state, federal, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior coursework or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business.
  • Results-oriented approach, including setting realistic goals, meeting commitments, persistence, and daily prioritization.
  • Patient advocacy characterized by flexibility, empathy, passion, and ethical conduct.
  • Process-focused and data-driven approach with strong organization and knowledge of operational processes; computer proficiency.
  • Financial acumen, including understanding profit drivers, using metrics, building team financial understanding, and understanding local market drivers and competition.
