Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience directly related to U.S. Federal Sales
  • At least one year of related sales experience; technology/software sales preferred
  • Competency with CRM/sales tracking tools
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and capable of accurate work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to travel locally and nationally for meetings and trade events as required
Responsibilities
  • Identify, qualify and develop new customers, relationships, and opportunities through prospecting and networking
  • Maintain and expand the existing client base through direct sales and marketing activities
  • Manage territory and account business plans and drive sales pipeline within the US and Canadian Federal sector
  • Navigate the solutions sales process through prospecting calls, identifying prospect needs, positioning Fortra solutions and services, participating in solution demonstration, managing the trial process, overcoming objections, and closing the sale
  • Achieve and exceed assigned sales quotas and other objectives as determined
  • Communicate Federal customer demand and trends internally
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and update and maintain CRM
  • Leverage channel resources and partner ecosystem in your region to maximize sales
  • Stay up-to-date on new and emerging technologies
  • Attend trade shows to generate leads as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
