Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and all applicable licenses or certifications are required.
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience are required.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the design and development process for objective and performance assessments, including milestones, timelines, and progress tracking.
  • Communicate project status updates to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate project resources and realistic timelines and to resolve assessment content issues.
  • Organize and facilitate workshops for internal assessment development and review.
  • Oversee subject matter expert involvement in assessment design, development, review, and validation of congruency and accuracy.
  • Maintain assessment design and development standards to ensure assessment integrity.
  • Identify and mitigate risks that may affect assessment quality or on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate with the assessment team to define and execute assessment policies, processes, and best practices.
  • Ensure assessment alignment and consistency with WGU's business objectives.
  • Develop and implement item-level and exam-level scoring guidelines and validate their successful implementation.
  • Oversee assessment quality-assurance processes and identify and resolve issues and trends.
  • Maintain knowledge of exam performance and make quality-improvement adjustments throughout the exam lifecycle.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to implement exam security measures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Project management experience; Project Management Professional certification is preferred.
  • Experience with both objective and performance assessments.
  • Experience in online assessment and education.
  • Experience managing vendor and external-resource relationships.
  • Strong experience with distance education and distance-learning students.
  • A terminal degree and all applicable licenses or certifications.
