Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading machinery safety and energy isolation safety
  • Experience with capital equipment (e.g. semiconductor equipment, CNC machinery, industrial 3D printer equipment, etc.)
  • Experience with fire prevention systems
  • Experience with project management
  • A certified ASP is required through the Board of Safety Professionals (BSP); a nice to have CSP certification.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
Responsibilities
  • Drive increased compliance and safety in the company and decreased incidences, near misses, and risks by 1) conducting daily safety checks; and 2) performing EHS audits, incident reporting, compliance
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of current health and safety policies, regulations, and industrial processes
  • Create safety training and deliver training to the organization, including managing online EHS training programs & use across the company
  • Monitor safety and PPE (protective equipment) compliance
  • Coach the organization and individuals on safety
  • Create and maintain safety policies and procedures
  • Run the Safety Committee (a cross-functional team dedicated to driving safety programs proactively and reactively)
  • Manage OSHA and compliance
  • Complete Safety and OSHA paperwork
  • Manage hazardous waste
  • Other duties as assigned
