Requirements
- Associates or bachelor's degree in a related field
- Experience with sample preparation and analysis
- Experience with chemical handling and laboratory hazards
- Ability to follow detailed, technical instructions
- Organization and documentation skills
- Proficient using MS Office, including Excel spreadsheets and Word documentation
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule
Responsibilities
- May collect samples which could include collection from processes or trucks in some locations
- Prepare samples for analysis using established tests and techniques
- Assists with/performs routine chemical and/or metallurgical analysis and reporting
- Maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment
- Perform other duties as required
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated basic knowledge of math, chemistry and/or computer skills appropriate to the assignment
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
- Strong written and verbal communication
