Requirements
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of fifteen years of experience in a related discipline.
  • A PE, SE, RA, PLA, PLS, or other relevant license within the discipline.
Responsibilities
  • Review and confirm the accuracy of work performed and methods used by the technical team.
  • Create and track project budgets and schedules and identify potential issues.
  • Manage the technical, quality, and financial performance of the technical team.
  • Answer questions and resolve issues brought forth by engineering, technical, and project teams.
  • Act as the Designer of Record as required.
  • Communicate and collaborate with managers, clients, and contractors.
  • Conduct tests and quality assurance checks to verify the quality of completed projects.
  • Assist in preparing workload forecasting reports and staffing plans.
  • Propose and oversee budgets and timelines for engineering and technical projects.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations internally and externally as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, survey, and other rules, regulations, and permitting requirements.
  • Review contract plan and agreement documents for accuracy as related to the specific technical discipline.
  • Oversee technical staff, including reviewing and approving timesheets, performing annual reviews, and assuring compliance with company and department policies and procedures.
Desired Qualifications
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Deltek Vision.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, regulatory agencies, and other external sources.
