Requirements
  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritize and manage tasks to completion in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships and communicate clearly and effectively with people in financial and non-financial roles
  • High level of initiative and self-motivation with a strong attention to details
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage technology in performing job duties, including Microsoft Excel as well as applicable accounting software
  • Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience
Responsibilities
  • Reconcile sales and cash receipts for all brands on a daily, period, quarterly and annual basis from various sources – store deposits, credit cards, gift cards, digital services, catering, etc.
  • Recommend process improvements to accommodate changing business needs and support revenue activities
  • Investigate discrepancies in cash receipts from POS to processor and processor to banking activity
  • Allocate and record bank fees on a period end basis
  • Monitor, investigate, and resolve reconciling items, transaction errors, and other discrepancies as well as inquiries from the field in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure all revenue is recorded appropriately within the Company's accounting structure
  • Organize and post daily bank transactions

KBP Brands acquires 78 SONIC restaurants, becomes fourth-largest franchisee with 164 locations

KBP Brands has acquired 78 SONIC drive-in locations across Ohio, Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia, expanding its SONIC footprint to 164 restaurants in eight states. The acquisition makes KBP the fourth largest franchisee in the SONIC system. This marks KBP's second SONIC purchase in less than two years. The locations were previously owned by Inspire Brands, with whom KBP has partnered since 2021. The deal adds 1,600 employees to KBP's workforce. KBP Brands operates more than 1,100 KFC, Taco Bell, Arby's and SONIC restaurants across 32 states, generating approximately $1.5 billion in annual sales. The company first added SONIC to its portfolio in August 2024.
