Responsibilities
  • Provide admission counseling to prospective international students and conduct day-to-day communications with students in person, by telephone, or by email.
  • Develop relationships with prospective and current students to support inquiry, application, fit assessment, visits, admission, enrollment, and study at Loyola Marymount University.
  • Represent Loyola Marymount University at recruitment events and meet with prospective students on campus.
  • Review applications from prospective international applicants and make independent admission decisions.
  • Plan outreach activities and events targeting international students, including recruitment travel, on-campus programs, and hosting visitors from the United States and abroad.
  • Manage the international admission email account and communication flow to international prospects, applicants, and admitted students.
  • Develop emails and outreach strategies for prospective parents and students.
  • Collaborate with university staff involved in admissions, records, and financial aid processing to ensure applicants receive necessary information.
  • Supervise immigration mailings to admitted international students, material shipments for recruitment travel, and distribution of promotional materials to external audiences.
  • Manage international application materials and review undergraduate applications for admission.
  • Participate in developing marketing materials and resources supporting international outreach and internationalization activities.
  • Liaise with Transfer Enrollment Services to coordinate recruitment, admission review, and advisement of international transfer students.
  • Collaborate with departments and personnel supporting international student outreach, retention, international alumni development, and institutional internationalization activities.
  • Represent International Admission and Outreach at college fairs, secondary schools, and universities.
  • Update standard information and data on websites or blogs within the applications content management system.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Desired Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years of experience in international admissions and recruitment, international student services, or campus internationalization activities is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in a foreign language is a plus.
