Requirements
  • Must be able to work the entire internship from August 2026 through December 2026.
  • Must be able to work all Mississippi State home football games and the day prior to each game.
  • Must be available to work nights and weekends.
  • Must have verbal communication skills.
  • Must be willing to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must have computer skills using Microsoft Office suite and Canva.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States for any employer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work all home football games, including some nights and weekends, and part-time office hours during the week.
  • Must be trustworthy and demonstrate integrity.
  • Must have a service mindset and a friendly, positive demeanor.
  • Must be dependable and enthusiastic about helping guests feel seen, welcomed, and valued.
  • Must be willing to learn and be flexible to fill in where needed.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and game day partners.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, stoop, and reach, and work in varied environmental conditions, including outdoor spaces.
  • Must have sufficient visual acuity and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work in fast-paced event conditions and interact frequently with clients, vendors, donors, and large groups.
Responsibilities
  • Learn and administer policies and procedures regarding admission, food and beverage, maintenance, and other premium-area operations.
  • Assist in managing designated premium areas during all home Mississippi State football and men's and women's basketball games, with additional events as applicable.
  • Staff and supervise more than 50 game day staff members.
  • Ensure all game day policies and procedures are upheld.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain game day supplies and materials.
  • Ensure event spaces are prepared and maintained before, during, and after events.
  • Maintain communication with game day staff members, athletic donors, and athletics personnel.
  • Deliver hospitality and service to guests.
  • Support day-to-day general office operations.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in hospitality or guest relations is preferred.
