About the Position
Our Account Management Representatives hustle and lead. They understand the need for speed at a high growth technology startup, but they also recognize that brute force is not always the best strategy when working with clients. Highly creative and intelligent, Account Management Representatives carefully identify the value add of FiscalNote/CQ products to current clients and tactfully leverage all manners of communication to ensure clients are happy with our services, have adequate usage of the products they’ve purchased, and to identify potential up/cross-sell opportunities . Our Account Management Representatives interface with high level members of the policy and legal worlds within our client-base, and they must conduct themselves with a level of intellectual aptitude far exceeding that of a generic SaaS service provider.

The Public Sector Team at FiscalNote is the key touchpoint for all U.S. Government Agencies and Defense Contractors. We leverage our CQ and FiscalNote platform of software and information-services products to empower people and organizations with the right information at the right time. About You

Your keen understanding of the sales cycle provides the tactical insight necessary to identify ideal methods of penetrating accounts ripe for a sale. You also understand when time and deep relationship building are some of your most effective tools in developing key accounts. Your resiliency and competitive nature are core to your successful track record, but your intellectual curiosity drives perpetual personal growth.
The base salary for this position is $50,000 per year.
What to Expect
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Schedule client meetings based on where they are in their contract lifecycle
- Perform both cold and warm outreach to current clients
- Strategically plan account penetration
- Identify potential up/cross-sell opportunities within current clients
- Identify and Alert Account Managers (AMs) and Client Success Managers (CSMs) of any Accounts that are at risk of churning, and collaborate with those colleagues on an action plan (ie: sending relevant content, scheduling additional user-training on solutions they aren’t using as much, etc)
- Attend Client Meetings with your AMs and CSMs to take good notes and identify key takeaways to debrief with the AM/CSM on after the meeting
- Assist AMs/CSMs with meeting prep by helping to build custom client slide decks in advance of client meetings
- Drive engagement with our products through timely and relevant content-sending: AMRs are expected to send at least 2 pieces of content to each client every week, and to become thought leaders in driving which content to send to clients on a weekly basis.
- Leverage sales enablement tools to guide frequency and quality of client communication
- Attend Thought Leadership and Industry Events
- Develop industry-specific policy expertise
- Receive mentorship from Account Managers
- Mentor and coach Account Management Representatives
- Coordinate and lead the training/onboarding of new hires
- Provide fresh ideas on ways to improve existing processes to drive increased efficiency and collaboration within the BD organization and other departments
What Sets You Apart:

- 1+ years of experience
- Proven success as an Account Management Representative or in a quota-carrying role
- A bachelor’s degree, preferred
- Knowledge of public policy and law (Preferred)
