Northern Trust wins $14B First Sentier fund administration mandate in Ireland

Northern Trust Corporation has expanded its relationship with First Sentier Group, winning appointment as fund administrator and depositary for First Sentier Investors Global Umbrella Fund in Ireland. The mandate covers approximately $14 billion in assets. Northern Trust will provide custody, depositary, fund accounting and transfer agency services for the structure. This follows an earlier appointment to administer First Sentier's Singapore Global Growth Funds. The expanded mandate adds scale to Northern Trust's fund administration franchise and deepens its role as an operating partner for the international asset manager. It reinforces industry momentum toward consolidating fund servicing with global providers. The win supports Northern Trust's investment narrative of steady fee-based growth from global asset servicing, though slower revenue growth relative to the broader US market remains a consideration for investors.
