Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
- 5-7 years public / corporate accounting experience
- CPA license
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- The ability to identify problems and discrepancies, independently perform research and analysis of causes, and recommend corrective actions
- Are detailed and results-oriented with an ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced, and constantly evolving environment
- The ability to evaluate priorities and multi-task accordingly while keeping others apprised of status with respect to deadlines
- A high degree of data integrity/accuracy
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including solid Excel skills
Responsibilities
- Manage monthly financial closing process, which includes analyzing accounts such as prepaids, accrued expenses, debt and equity areas, fixed assets, construction in process, asset retirement obligation, inventory management, etc. and entering appropriate journal entries
- Prepare general ledger reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Assist in the development of technical accounting guidance
- Monthly expense budget/actual variance analysis
- Manage year end external audit, tax return and insurance audit processes
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Learn the month end close process
- Develop a working knowledge of updating and maintaining Citybridge reporting system (Management reporter)
- Develop relationships with all members of dedicated CityBridge team
- Prepare monthly financial statements including actual vs budget analysis
- Manage fixed asset accounting and reporting including construction in process and asset retirement obligation
- Takeover month end close process
- Manage Great Plains chart of accounts
- Review trial balances on monthly basis to ensure audit readiness
- Understanding of key operating agreements
- Assist in managing inter-company charges between Intersection and CityBridge
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains) and Management Reporter a plus
- Experience with Tableau a plus
