About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced bid writer to join our Bid Team. You’ll be working across a number of bids and proposals at once, providing writing support to make our bids read beautifully.

You’ll work with Bid Managers, salespeople and teams of subject matter experts to deliver high-quality, compelling bids, proposals and presentations that showcase the very best of BJSS and speak to what our clients really want.

You’ll join a close-knit team of Bid Managers, Bid Coordinators and reviewers who work together to achieve the best results for every bid.

If you’re up against a deadline, need advice on how to tackle a response or want some help with the administrative aspects of the submission, we’ve got you covered.

The whole team also works with the wider business to improve our approach to bid and proposal creation.

About You

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Recent experience in a technical bid writing role, writing formal bids for the public and private sectors. Ideally, you’ll have experience in the digital sector
• First-class writing skills, with the ability to write clear, well-structured and persuasive prose that makes complicated concepts simple for readers. A degree in English or a Humanities subject is desirable but not a pre-requisite
• Evidence of your ability to manage work to deadlines
• An ability to form strong working relationships, and work collaboratively with people across many backgrounds and disciplines
• A willingness to question, to research and (where needed) to challenge, to create amazing content through your own efforts and through working with SMEs
