Responsibilities
  • Building out and leading a team to support and service evolving inventory accounting business needs and growth
  • Identifying and leading the implementation of the inventory accounting function; determining strategic areas of focus and growth initiatives
  • Creating and completing periodic key inventory account reconciliations
  • Posting and verifying recurring accruals
  • Assessing the accuracy of inventory provisions and creating relevant adjustments
  • Creating and implementing processes to identify discontinued items and present impairment values to be recorded
  • Partnering with the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team to analyze standard cost vs actuals, assessing reasonability
  • Working with business partners to ensure accuracy of standard cost components
  • Collaborating with the Internal Auditor to build controls in the End-to-End (E2E) inventory process, from receiving through to shipment of inventory
  • Creating and running regular inventory reports to reconcile balances at all warehouse facilities, across systems and entities
  • Building a process with the Finance Systems team to ensure accurate reporting of intercompany inventory transfers
  • Validating Inventory GLs and their associated transactions; ensuring accurate postings, identifying unusual activity, and monitoring trend analysis
  • Developing new key inventory tracking metrics within enterprise performance software
