About the team + role

The Robinhood Security Authentication Platform team provides authentication services and libraries that power Robinhood’s end user authentication. To ensure a smooth user experience under Robinhood’s hyper user/feature growth, we strive to pursue the strictest SLAs with the lowest possible operational overhead

What you’ll do

Craft large-scale systems within the team, making the right tradeoffs for risk and long-term maintainability
Develop technical solutions with high engineering standards
Improve system performance and security, reducing privacy and safety risks
Collaborate with multi-functional teams and deliver large-scope technical quality projects

What you bring

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience
3+ years of experience working in Software Engineering space, with a passion to security
Proficient in Go or Python, strong problem solver and have solid production debugging skills
Expertise with cloud native platforms, and container and orchestration technologies. (e.g. AWS, Kubernetes, gRPC, Kafka)
Experience working with authentication and authorization protocols/frameworks (OpenID Connect, OAuth, etc.)
Strong ownership and experience building and operating high-scale, distributed systems across the full software lifecycle
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team and across engineering teams
