CarGurus connects buyers and sellers of new and used cars through its online automotive marketplace. Users can search for vehicles, compare prices, and read reviews on the platform. CarGurus employs advanced algorithms to rank car listings based on price, dealer reputation, and vehicle history, making it easier for users to find good deals. Unlike traditional car buying methods, CarGurus emphasizes data transparency and a user-friendly experience. The company earns revenue primarily by charging dealerships a subscription fee to list their cars, along with offering advertising services and additional features like financing options and vehicle history reports. In a competitive market that includes other platforms like AutoTrader and Cars.com, CarGurus stands out by focusing on providing clear data and insights to its users.
