Requirements
  • An Associate’s degree is required; a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Three years of experience in exceptional customer service is required; four years is preferred.
  • Three years of experience in program coordination and deployment is required; four years is preferred.
  • Three years of experience in higher education, career services, employer services, and relationship management is required; four years is preferred.
  • Understand employer and human resources manager hiring and workforce needs, expectations, industry trends, market demands, and emerging fields.
  • Understand job placement processes for credit and non-credit programs.
  • Conduct needs analyses and work with businesses, associations, and government agencies to determine hiring needs.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to advance organizational goals.
  • Apply project management, multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills to prioritize tasks, manage competing deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage events or provide customer service with a focus on high-end customer experience.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with internal and external stakeholders, draft professional communications, prepare reports, and deliver presentations.
  • Interpret data, synthesize information, and prepare meaningful reports.
  • Think critically, analyze data and trends, and develop and execute regional employer-relations strategies.
  • Familiarity with deploying a coordinated employer-engagement program and its processes.
  • Present acceptable original documents proving identity and authorization to work in the United States.
  • Pass a criminal history background check.
Responsibilities
  • Establish and nurture mutually beneficial relationships with targeted local employers and human resources managers for online, hybrid, and face-to-face programs.
  • Coordinate with the Employer Relations team and local stakeholders to align employer-partnership initiatives and strategies.
  • Develop and maintain regular communications with local employers to support repeat recruiting visits that provide internship, co-op, and employment opportunities for students and alumni.
  • Grow quality employment opportunities for campus graduates through collaboration with employer-relations teams across the state.
  • Work with the Career Development team on local placement goals and student engagement in employment-focused activities.
  • Bridge connections between student learning and operations and employers.
  • Increase employer engagement on campus by executing employer spotlights, job fairs, networking events, classroom visits, campus tours, interview days, faculty meetings, company tours, and other employment events.
  • Coordinate with the Event Management team on event planning and execution.
  • Serve as a spokesperson for local employer-relations initiatives in coordination with Employer Relations, Career Development leadership, and Employer Relations and Development constituents.
  • Demonstrate TSTC’s values of excellence, accountability, service, and integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students, and community members.
