Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in a pre-sales or technical architecture role, with a focus on Hybrid Cloud, IT infrastructure, and enterprise solutions.
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-premises technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud migration strategies, automation tools (Ansible, Terraform), and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices.
  • Proficient in networking, security, identity management, and compliance in cloud environments.
  • Strong command of containerization, orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with enterprise applications (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft) and integration platforms.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and client-facing skills.
Responsibilities
  • Architect and design Hybrid Cloud solutions that seamlessly integrate on-premises infrastructure with public cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud & Nutanix).
  • Develop multi-cloud and hybrid strategies, including workload placement, data management, security, and networking.
  • Provide expertise in cloud-native technologies, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices architecture.
  • Lead the design and development of comprehensive cloud migration strategies, including Rehosting, Rearchitecting, Replatforming, Retiring.
  • Design hybrid cloud architectures that integrate on-premises and cloud-based resources, ensuring data security, compliance, and performance optimization.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate cloud services, tools, and frameworks for migration, such as Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud; Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift; Serverless Computing: AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions; Integration Tools: API Gateway, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their existing application landscape, identify migration opportunities, and assess cloud readiness.
  • Present and articulate the benefits of various cloud migration approaches, including cost optimization, scalability, and agility.
  • Lead technical discussions and workshops with client teams, providing expert guidance on cloud migration, application modernization, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Lead the rearchitecting of legacy applications to cloud-native architectures, utilizing microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
  • Propose and implement replatforming strategies that involve moving applications to managed services like Database Services: AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL; Storage Solutions: Amazon S3, Azure Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage; Compute Services: AWS EC2, Azure VM, Google Compute Engine.
  • Drive the adoption of modern development practices such as DevOps & CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline; IaC (Infrastructure as Code): Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible.
  • Engage with clients to gather requirements, understand their business challenges, and propose customized solutions that leverage cloud and on-premises technologies.
  • Conduct in-depth technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts (PoCs) to showcase the value of proposed solutions.
  • Address technical questions and concerns during the pre-sales process, ensuring clients are confident in the proposed architectures.
  • Lead technical discussions and workshops with clients and internal teams to develop comprehensive solutions.
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to align proposed solutions with product capabilities and roadmaps.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior team members and sales teams on cloud technologies and architectural best practices.
  • Lead the technical response to RFPs/RFIs, including the creation of solution architecture diagrams, technical write-ups, and cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to develop competitive and compelling proposals that align with customer needs and company objectives.
  • Ensure proposals and solutions comply with industry standards, security requirements, and best practices.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud computing, IT infrastructure, security, and enterprise applications.
  • Evangelize Hybrid Cloud solutions, DevOps practices, and digital transformation initiatives both internally and externally.
  • Participate in industry conferences, webinars, and other knowledge-sharing events to represent the company and its solutions.
Desired Qualifications
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, or similar are highly desirable.
  • Implementation experience in one or more hyper scalars.

Gates' VC fund leads $110M funding for AI chip startup Neurophos

Neurophos Inc., a chip startup developing technology to outperform AI accelerators, has raised $110 million in funding led by Gates Frontier, Bill Gates' venture capital fund. Microsoft's M12 and Aramco Ventures, the investment arm of Saudi Arabia's state-owned oil producer, also participated. Additional investors in the round included Bosch Ventures, Tectonic Ventures and Space Capital. The company aims to develop new chip technology capable of surpassing current accelerators used to run AI models.
