Divergent is seeking an experienced and motivated production supervisor to assure customer delivery of production automotive components and systems for production end use. This individual will ensure that we are efficiently starting additive manufacturing jobs, that they run successfully, and the machines are quickly prepared for subsequent jobs. This individual will also be responsible for compliance with equipment maintenance plans, as well as overseeing the post-processing of parts produced. This individual will be a hands-on manager, who will support all these production focused activities, and also manage the team of people who are currently overseeing this work.

Essential Job Functions and Performance Standards:
•Monitors and directs the performance of all additive manufacturing activities including throughput, cost and waste control, maintenance, quality, inventories control, and meeting budgeted production metrics, while ensuring that all safety practices are in place and followed
•Manages output of multi-laser AM systems and synchronizes and prioritizes production activities; performs real-time capacity planning, with ability to change schedules as necessary to meet production needs in a dynamic environment
•Communicates performance objectives and leads team productivity, continuous improvement, and risk management initiatives
•Execute the operation processes and procedures that have been implemented in our 3D printing factory, and define and implement new processes where needed
•Supports capacity planning with detailed assessments (CAM, build, and post-processing time estimates) for effective program planning and execution with the cross-functional team
•Work with service engineering to assure high levels of printer uptime and availability, support and contribute to proactive equipment maintenance strategies with detailed issue reporting
•Motivates, coaches, and provides leadership for AM machine operators at Divergent in setting up and executing builds and oversee post-processing technicians who are responsible for preparing the printed parts for end use
•Conducts daily AM production tasks to demonstrate proper process and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Licenses/Certificates:
Experience:
•5+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing environments with AM selective laser melting equipment; experience with SLM Solutions systems a plus
•Knowledgeable on full AM process tool chain including robust understanding of both pre- and post-processing considerations (build preparation, support removal)
•Competency with standard office tools, CAD packages (Solidworks, NX, or similar), databases, MES/ERP tools
•Experience in management of other engineers, operators, and/or technicians, particularly non-exempt personnel a plus
Skills:
•Highly self-motivated and able to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast paced, startup environment
•Solid interpersonal skills, capable of managing a small, growing team and interfacing with engineering and manufacturing groups to understand the production system and the associated constraints
Physical Demands:
•Must be able to remain in stationary position up to 50% of time
•The person in this position needs to move about the office and warehouse to access machinery
•Ability to use hands to operate machinery in warehouse, as required, and/or work near electro-mechanical machinery
•Periodic exposure (25%) to high noise environments within factory
