Requirements
  • A BE/ B Tech degree in Engineering, Food Technology or Dairy Technology
  • 8–10 years of successful commercial experience in B2B environment
  • At least 2–3 years (preferably in a team leader position) as Area Sales Manager or Key Account Manager
  • Demonstrated success in a value selling role with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Experience in field sales is essential, with strong customer management experience at senior levels in B2B environment
  • Good understanding of technical issues to understand problems and opportunities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Good command of English language, both spoken and written
  • Self-starter with the confidence to take risk and work with stakeholders
  • Ability to plan and execute projects and strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Management qualification is desirable to manage business and team in a professional manner with understanding of HR and commercial/IT mindset
  • MBA is desired but not essential
  • Prior experience in planning for retention and career development of team members
Responsibilities
  • To deliver the Annual Operating Plan for the designated region and drive top line sales growth
  • Deliver bottom line profitability targets by focusing on price increases and product mix optimization
  • Deliver working capital targets by focusing on timely collection of accounts receivable, sales forecasting process, and reduction of aged inventory
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by tracking customer satisfaction and net promoter scores at least once every year
  • Focus on sales and customer management processes to ensure leadership position in market; achieve metrics like sales productivity, AR DSO, sales growth, market shares, segment shares, key customer acquisitions as per plans
  • Lead and manage the sales team with high motivation levels
  • Ensure complete delivery of promises to customers
  • Bring speed, stretch and energy into team members
  • Identify high performers and high potential players and plan for career development
  • Plan for retention of stable performers and improvement plans for weak performers
  • Drive training to meet objectives via coordination with HR
  • Collaborate with Sector, Marketing & Technical teams to identify quick wins and develop strategic initiatives for future growth
  • Collaborate with other functions like supply chain, technical, HR as per business needs
  • Ensure data/activity requirements of other functions (receivables management, sales forecasts, inventory management, discount controls) are fulfilled to meet objectives
  • Track and respond to competitive moves and negotiations
  • Provide support to the Business Director, Food & Beverage – Indian Subcontinent in meeting company objectives via business performance, data, and customer management
  • Ensure integrity and ethical work culture across the team and company
  • Role involves extensive travel: on average 2 weeks a month

Solenis reports 74% of revenue from sustainable solutions as it integrates recent acquisitions

Solenis, a global provider of water and hygiene solutions, has released its 2025 Sustainability Report, detailing progress driven by business growth and integration. The company invested $4.68 million in sustainable capital projects, improved workplace safety by 22% year-over-year, and achieved 96% participation in its culture survey. The report highlights $349 million in documented customer value delivered through its ValueAdvantage programme, up from $257 million previously. Additionally, 74% of revenue came from solutions supporting customer sustainability initiatives, whilst 91% of active innovation programmes focused on sustainability or circularity. Solenis completed integration of recent acquisitions and announced the acquisition of NCH Corporation, which closed in November 2025. The company also opened a new Global Research Center in Delaware to develop solutions for water stewardship and resource efficiency.
