- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of software and/or hardware development experience
- 5+ years of scrum master or technical project lead experience working across functional teams
- Proven business acumen and capability to translate client needs into actionable project plans. MBA preferred but not required
- Experience in a customer facing role is critical
- Successful delivery of two or more products to market through full development lifecycle
- Experience planning and delivering integrated hardware and software products
- Experience motivating, mentoring and guiding a diverse development team, both virtually and face to face
- Solid oral and written communication skills, including managing communication with clients
- Experience in reporting progress to stakeholders (clients, product owners, project leads etc.) in a concise manner
- Experience in defining requirements and estimating project scope
- Working knowledge of one or more SW development domains: full stack iOS or Android mobile apps, web apps, embedded SW, Cloud
- Working knowledge of one or more HW development domains: RF HW, Digital HW, Mechanical systems
- Working knowledge of UX design and experience interacting with UX design teams
- Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence (Atlassian tool chain), Microsoft Azure Dev Ops, Teams and Office
- Lead multiple project teams to develop and deliver large and complex projects through all stages of hardware and software development
- Work with the business development team and technical leads to define scope, schedule and cost for new business opportunities
- Work with the client to define and meet expectations, for project scope, schedule and cost, throughout the project lifecycle
- Lead and guide the project team to deliver the project, while following customer or Syntronic agile process
- Coordinate integration of hardware, software, firmware & mechanical developments
- Manage and review product development documentation (Requirements Specifications, System Specifications, Design Description Documents, Design Verification Test Plans & Reports, Product Manuals, etc.)
- Collaborate with other development disciplines, including HW developers, to integrate and deliver complete systems
- Report concise project status to the client, senior management and other stakeholders
- Build and develop long term relationships with client stakeholders across multiple projects
- Identify, mitigate and manage project risks and issues, and escalate as needed
- Increase team effectiveness by measuring and improving processes and tools
- PMP or CSM certification
- Experience in Business Analysis techniques for eliciting client requirements
- Contributing business and end user perspective to the project team
- Experience leading and coordinating rapid prototyping in a cross disciplinary team of SW developers and UX designers
- Self-organized and driven to help the team get organized and be more effective
- Experience driving collaboration and cross-functional teamwork across diverse groups
- Drive and willingness to explore and master areas outside of your expertise

Syntronic expands manufacturing operations in ontario. Syntronic is expanding its manufacturing operations in Ottawa with a move into new premises at 340 Legget Drive in the Kanata North Research Park. The expansion brings a major increase in capacity and capability, consolidating production and repair operations under one roof and more than doubling total floor space to approximately 70,000 square feet. The new location is less than five minutes from Syntronic's local R&D site, tightening collaboration across the entire product lifecycle from design to full scale production. The proximity strengthens the company's integrated approach, where engineering and manufacturing teams work closely together to accelerate innovation and maintain the highest standards of quality. "Syntronic's strength has always been our ability to adapt and grow alongside our customers," said Björn Jansson, Founder and CEO of Syntronic Group. "Expanding our manufacturing presence in Canada is another step in that journey, ensuring we can meet future needs with the same innovation, quality, and customer focus that define Syntronic globally." Advanced manufacturing technology. As part of the expansion, Syntronic has invested in a third surface mount technology (SMT) line. The new equipment includes the latest, state-of-the-art models from DEK, Koh Young, Vitronics Soltec, as well as FUJI's AIMEX R platforms, the first of their kind deployed in Canada. The new line, fitted with the latest RHDX heads from FUJI, is capable of high output and capacity, with maintained quality. It can place all commercially available components down to 008004 chip devices and offers an increase in CPH rating of close to a quarter of a million placements, almost tripling its throughput. This equipment, combined with new softwares, ensures its ability to meet increased customer demands on traceability and speed. "This expansion reflects the demand that we're seeing for advanced manufacturing close to our customers," said Hans Molin, President of Syntronic Canada. R&D sites in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal. The expansion further enhances Syntronic's manufacturing capabilities in North America.
