Responsibilities
  • Drive corporate sales strategy for Dataminr's Mid Market (Majors) business by leveraging market knowledge and developing product position and value proposition for companies with revenue under $1B
  • Partner and collaborate with SVP, Major Accounts and Sales Leadership on overall sales strategy
  • Manage, motivate and develop a team of new and seasoned new business sellers
  • Develop and manage a robust pipeline of high-velocity sales opportunities with a focus on strategic accounts we can grow with as they mature their corporate risk strategies
  • Build high-performing sales culture with a focus on training, best practices, and scalable, repeatable process
  • Provide thought leadership through opportunity identification to grow new business, and align our value to prospects needs and drive incremental revenue within the segment
  • Own and provide market leadership to sales teams, serving as subject matter expert throughout the full sales cycle
  • Become an expert on Dataminr's platform with a deep understanding of its functionality, features and impact for clients
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams including Revenue Operations, Marketing, and Product to drive operational and product improvements
  • Maintain constant awareness of markets and competitive activity, making appropriate strategic and tactical sales recommendations to always stay one step ahead
  • Must be willing to travel as needed
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • At least 2 years of of experience as a sales manager or sales leader
  • At least 8 years of progressive software/SaaS sales experience with demonstrated quota achievement and territory growth, preferably in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment
  • Experience selling into mid market market accounts with a strong focus on productivity, velocity, and quality
  • Strong solution selling skills with the ability to demonstrate strong product knowledge
  • Strong experience with sales methodologies, processes, and tools as well as a systematic approach to managing sales cycles
  • Experience and success driving consistent KPI accountability and performance management
  • History of forecasting rigor, driving action plans and delivering quarterly results
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
