Our Data Products team is seeking a Software Engineer to help us scale our ability to seamlessly onboard our clients and equip them with data insights and analytical tooling. Your work will directly impact our customers by providing them unique insights into their historical case and settlement data, empowering lawyers and their ability to best represent injury victims. You’ll collaborate closely with product, operations, and machine learning teams to build software, tooling and processes to best enable our clients and build a wonderful user experience.
This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week spent collaborating with the team in the office. We are open to applicants located in either the Greater Toronto Area or in the San Francisco Bay Area.
What you’ll do:
Build fault-tolerant, resilient services responsible for the processing of millions of records across our 1k+ customers.
Develop seamless integration tooling to accelerate our operations teams and their ability to partner effectively and efficiently with our customers.
Expand our Executive Analytics product suite, delivering unique insights to our clients and empowering them to best represent their injury victims.
Implement robust, maintainable, reusable code in a modern tech-stack including Python, Django, Postgres, Elasticsearch and other technologies.
Actively engage in the full project lifecycle across the stack, with full ownership from conception to deployment and iteration.
Collaborate closely with engineers, product owners & designers to develop efficient, innovative solutions.

Development Experience: Previous hands-on, relevant experience crafting applications, scaling services, and developing secure integrations.
Technical Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in Python, or Typescript, with a knack for diving deep into the intricacies of the entire application lifecycle, web services, and associated databases.
Versatile Skillset: Solid grasp of software development fundamentals, encompassing data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and familiarity with various protocols like SOAP, REST, and GraphQL, along with server-side languages like SQL.
Skilled Communication: Ability to communicate technical ideas or issues in easy-to-understand and actionable terms.
User Focus: Empathy and care for the user/customer experience.
