Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor’s or master’s degree program in mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar from an accredited college or university. This internship is intended for students with 1-2 semesters to complete until their degree is conferred.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States permanently without employment visa sponsorship required now or in the future.
  • Experience programming in Java.
  • Understanding of data structures and algorithms, OO programming, Design Patterns.
  • Familiarity with Linux command line and scripting.
  • Self-organized, curious, motivated to seek out solutions to problems independently.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment, and deal with changing priorities.
Responsibilities
  • Join a development team where you will be under supervision of technologists and participate in team scrum meetings.
  • Understand business requirements and how to translate them into technical designs.
  • Work on a software project that solves a real need for MarketAxess.
  • Participate in software design, development, testing, bug-fixes, and code reviews.
  • Implement features and/or tools related to electronic trading in capital markets.
  • See your creation come into existence and use by the end of the summer program.
