What believers are saying

  • CCFS’s 2026 website shows active scheduling, signaling continuing patient demand.
  • Bloom’s 2026 update says CCFS has five offices and nearly 30 years of operating history.
  • Telehealth remains part of the workflow, improving follow-up efficiency and patient retention.

What critics are saying

  • Eye Health America integration can strip local autonomy and push centralized economics by 2027.
  • US Eye and other PE-backed eye groups pressure prices, surgeons, and referrals in South Carolina.
  • A surgeon or surgery-center departure would cripple volume because CCFS depends on local specialists.

What makes Carolinas Centers For Sight unique

  • Eye Health America absorbed CCFS in 2025, preserving brand and regional scale.
  • CCFS serves Florence plus four satellite offices across the Pee Dee.
  • Its own site still promotes cataract, lens replacement, LASIK, and online booking.
