Who You Are
As a Government Account Executive, you’ll be responsible for the top of the sales funnel all the way through customer acquisition for your book of business. You’ll be prospecting and selling into Government entities (including states, Shared Service Alliance & non-profit organizations), focused on a specific region within the US. This is a very strategic role as you’ll be educating potential buyers on how Child Care Management Software can support adjacent goals and help them navigate funding & implementation.

What You’ll Do
- Proactively seek out new opportunities in the market & contact prospects through LinkedIn, email campaigns & phone calls.
- Drive engaging conversations with prospects to learn their pain points and how brightwheel can improve their businesses
- Set & run product demonstrations, tailoring your presentation to the prospects needs and challenges to maximize value created
- Create custom proposals for each prospect
- Close deals across the government and non-profit sector
- Be a great teammate by working closely with management and your small but mighty government team to ensure prospects have an incredible experience with brightwheel
Qualifications, Skills, & Abilities
- 2+ years in a full-cycle sales role
- Previous experience in working with non-profit or government grants and funding, a plus
- Tendency to celebrate wins, not shy away from misses, and ability to learn from both
- Excellent communication (written & verbal), organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills
- Comfort with independence, ambiguity, as well as a dynamic startup environment that will evolve rapidly
- A passion for improving the world through education
Brightwheel is committed to internal pay equity and offers a competitive compensation package, including base salary, equity, and benefits.
Our benefits package includes premium medical, dental, and vision benefits, generous paid parental leave, a flexible paid time off policy, a monthly wellness and productivity stipend, and a Learning & Development stipend.
The base salary for this position is $75,000, with an additional variable of $75,000, for an overall OTE up to $150,000, for all U.S. locations.
