Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • One or more years of technical education in electrical, mechanical, carpentry, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, or plumbing is preferred, or equivalent experience in basic door repair, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning filter changing, carpentry, power equipment or mechanical repair, and basic equipment troubleshooting.
  • Basic technical skills and general experience working with property assets are required.
  • Proficiency in operating power tools, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment, wet/dry vacuums, and other powered equipment is required.
  • Strong vendor relationship management skills are required to ensure accountability and quality service results.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to use technology and multiple communication devices are required.
  • The ability to manage workload, prioritize tasks independently, and support the store team is required.
  • The ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and complete multiple tasks within established time frames is required.
  • The ability to climb ladders, safely scan, handle, and move merchandise, and frequently lift or move up to 40 pounds without assistance is required.
  • The ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak shopping periods, with regular and prompt attendance, is required.
  • The ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other environmental conditions is required.
  • The ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift is required.
Responsibilities
  • Consistently deliver guest experience commitments and create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience.
  • Ensure every team member understands, is trained, and consistently delivers guest experience commitments and consistent operations.
  • Observe team performance, provide feedback, hold team members accountable, and recognize strong guest experience moments.
  • Review guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, take corrective action, align the team on behaviors and execution, celebrate wins, and drive results.
  • Use technology, including mobile devices and artificial intelligence, to create, troubleshoot, prioritize, and safely complete work orders.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on building assets and equipment, including plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, refrigeration, life-safety power systems, and electrical equipment.
  • Follow safety procedures and training, use personal protective equipment, and identify and correct equipment safety hazards.
  • Teach and train the store team to follow safety procedures.
  • Identify and perform corrective maintenance on building assets.
  • Inform and engage store leadership, including new leaders, on property-management workload priorities and the effects of store processes on asset care, maintenance, and functionality.
  • Lead and demonstrate execution of onboarding and learning best practices, and help close skill gaps through development, coaching, and team interactions.
  • With guidance from the Property Management Business Partner, evaluate the store brand and ensure assets and vendor performance meet maintenance and functionality standards.
  • Assist with special projects and remodels, and support property-management assets and service strategies in partnership with the store team.
  • Ensure internal and external work orders are completed safely and efficiently, and ensure vendors are accountable for assigned work orders.
  • Assist with managing emergency situations in partnership with store and field leaders.
  • Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches and creating equitable experiences.
  • Perform other duties based on business needs.
