- Industrial experience is highly desired.

- The job opening is for a full-time R&D engineer to conduct research and advanced development for Heat Assisted Magnetic Recording (HAMR) in the heads area.
- Responsibilities can include: Optical modeling for HAMR heads (waveguides, lasers, near-field transducers, thin film test samples), innovative design (metal optics, laser integration, light delivery), optical design of test structures, and detailed data analysis.
- Responsibilities also include close collaboration with the wafer process teams to drive innovation in design, process, and materials.
