Operations Director

Position Overview: Operations Director - based onsite in Florence, KY

As the Operations Director at Jabil, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, efficiency, and innovation within our manufacturing division. You will oversee end-to-end operations, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in manufacturing, supply chain management, and operational strategy.

What can you expect to do?

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve business goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align manufacturing objectives with overall corporate strategy.

Operational Excellence:

• Drive efficiency and productivity improvements across manufacturing operations.
• Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and other process optimization methodologies.
• Oversee production planning, quality assurance, and on-time delivery metrics.

Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of managers and staff to achieve peak performance.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.

Financial Management:

• Manage budgets, control costs, and ensure financial targets are met or exceeded.
• Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue growth.

Customer Focus:

• Partner with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality products and services.

Compliance and Sustainability:

• Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards.
• Champion sustainability initiatives to support Jabil’s commitment to corporate responsibility.

What is the experience needed to be successful in this role?

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of driving operational efficiency and cost reduction.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Experience in global, matrixed organizations is a plus.
