Requirements
  • An Associate's degree is required.
  • Two years of experience are required.
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider certification from the American Heart Association is required.
  • The applicable state-issued radiologic, radiographer, or imaging-related license or credential is required, along with an applicable imaging certification such as American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist, American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist, or an applicable sonography credential.
  • The role requires constant standing and walking, frequent patient lifting and moving, frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of objects weighing 0–25 pounds, occasional handling of objects weighing 25–50 pounds, and the ability to perform reaching, gripping, keyboard use, bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and repetitive movements.
Responsibilities
  • In collaboration with Imaging Leaders, maintain and monitor staffing and workload requirements with respect to changing priorities in daily operations and ensure adequate staffing patterns per shift.
  • Coordinate staff orientation to new equipment and procedures, maintain in-service education records, and prepare, schedule, locate, and publicize in-service education activities.
  • Maintain the sub-optimal imaging report, including follow-up and review with the technologist, monitor trends, and instruct or retrain technologists in problem areas.
  • Perform assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and modification of clinical education in radiology modalities.
  • Perform imaging and procedures in the assigned modality and cover all aspects of patient care for the assigned modality.
  • Consult with the physician leader regarding procedures performed in the assigned imaging modality.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Maintain all supply levels in the Imaging Department and order, maintain, and distribute supplies to help regulate department costs.
  • Develop and maintain processes that support continued accreditation.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
