Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, specifically Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, or Industrial and Production Engineering.
  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in process planning activities in the automotive component manufacturing industry.
  • Competent knowledge of manufacturing processes and machines.
  • Competent knowledge of industrial engineering techniques and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Advanced knowledge of statutory requirements, organizational regulations, product liability, compliance, and risk management.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management, production monitoring systems such as Manufacturing Execution Systems, Manufacturing Automation Systems, and Industry 4.0 solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of data analytics and data visualization using Power BI and Tableau.
  • Knowledge of engineering drawings, engineering statistics, machine and process capability, statistical process control, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and measurement system analysis.
  • Knowledge of programming relevant to specific technologies, including computer numerical control programming, vision programming, screwer programming, and Python.
  • Knowledge of computer numerical control, basic programmable logic controller systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Hands-on experience and in-depth L3+ knowledge in at least two related technologies.
  • Knowledge of standard digital solutions such as Manufacturing Execution Systems, digital competency tools such as Power BI and Tableau, and emerging technologies such as data analytics and artificial intelligence.
  • Competence in AIAG Core Tools, including process failure mode and effects analysis, control plans, work instructions, and engineering change management.
  • Communication skills and the ability to lead teams in complex problem-solving for turning, drilling, and milling processes.
  • Competence in statistical evaluation tools and problem-solving methods such as Shainin and 8D.
  • General knowledge of IATF 16949 quality management systems, VDA, ISO basic standards, and Bosch manufacturing guideline standards.
  • Basic skill in operating key machines and test equipment.
  • Competence in lean manufacturing techniques and Bosch Production System standards, including Basics, LBP, LLB, PGL, and LLD.
  • Advanced skill in Agile methodology.
  • Advanced skill in using myMeasure, Bosch internal tools.
Responsibilities
  • Translate deployed strategy, business objectives, customer and stakeholder requirements, and standards and regulatory requirements into technical inputs for establishing a capable value stream.
  • Plan, implement, and continuously develop manufacturing value-addition flows with resources such as space, manufacturing and assembly equipment, testing, and handling capabilities.
  • Monitor internal and external requirements, true north, and value-stream vision; collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify, monitor, and drive projects toward a future state and operational excellence.
  • Establish, document, and develop process releases, including capability studies and Production Part Approval Process activities, as well as process controls such as control plans, work instructions, statistical process control, customer-requirement tracking, and reaction plans for nonconforming parts.
  • Estimate and propose operational and development-project budgets, track expenditure, and adapt spending to remain within budget.
  • Identify and evaluate risks affecting delivery, product quality, equipment availability, and business continuity; plan, document, implement, and test preventive and reactive mitigation measures.
  • Assess manufacturing deviations involving infrastructure, processes, quality complaints, first-pass yield, defect cost, and safety incidents; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare technical inquiries, identify suppliers, obtain techno-commercial offers, conduct technical discussions, narrow potential vendors, initiate purchase requests, and manage availability of manufacturing and assembly equipment, tooling, and consumables.
  • Initiate, organize, and lead engagement activities that support team coaching, motivation, knowledge sharing, problem-solving, adoption of standards and technologies, innovation, and organizational development.
  • Evaluate manufacturing setups, technical constraints, and associate ideas; develop and implement engineering-change concepts, Industry 4.0 solutions, and efficiency improvements.
  • Analyze new business requirements such as product relocation, product inquiries, and innovation projects; evaluate business cases, develop project charters and management plans, coordinate cross-functional teams, and implement project plans.
  • Compile, organize, and present manufacturing performance data and insights to support value-stream understanding and strategic decision-making.
Desired Qualifications
  • A postgraduate master's degree in Business Administration or M.Tech.
  • Certification in quality management, statistical tools, operations management, data analytics, or Agile methodology.
