Requirements
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in electrical engineering or a relevant field
  • Deep background in power electronics and design of high voltage power systems
  • 10+ years of experience solving hardware problems at the director level or above
  • Experience managing a team of 15 people and scaling up teams
  • Experience in hands-on overall system design of electro mechanical devices
  • Experience in building and deploying industrial grade products
  • Ability to work on problems involving mechanical, chemical and electrical engineering in the energy space
  • Demonstrated ability to hire and grow senior leaders and managers
  • Strong foundation on fundamental engineering principles
  • Deep organization capabilities, especially in regards to influence, collaboration and communication
  • Ability to inspire and motivate engineers
  • Prior manufacturing experience in bringing large systems to market
  • Experience in sourcing critical components and supplied contract negotiations

  • Define strategy and design directions of the product
  • Oversee electrical engineering on technology development teams
  • Prototype, plan timelines, and move from prototype to product
  • Build and scale a world-class engineering team
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to maximize innovation
  • Champion new ideas, technologies, and directions
  • Establish and implement strategic direction of engineering initiatives
  • Drive and build upon strong engineering culture
  • Engage in continuous performance management
  • Develop collaborative and people-driven culture
