Integrating insurance into the purchase journey for 10 years. 18/03/2026 Providing an innovative integrated insurance distribution solution in retail. That was the focus when, a decade ago, MDS, Worten, and Domestic & General combined their expertise in a strategic partnership. The model combines MDS's capability in creating and managing Affinity programs, the technical and operational experience of Domestic & General (D&G), a global specialist in protection plans, and the strength of Worten's brand and close relationship with its customers. In 10 years, over four million customers have already subscribed to these protection solutions, with damage and theft insurance currently offered for electronic equipment and other categories sold by Worten. Integrating these solutions directly into the purchase process ensures a simple, fast, and intuitive subscription experience. "This partnership is an example of how three organizations, with distinct but complementary skills, work in an integrated way to generate sustainable long-term value for the retail sector. The results reflect the trust of Portuguese consumers and the maturity of this strategic insurance distribution partnership," highlights Ricardo Pinto dos Santos, CEO of MDS Portugal. "We are proud to celebrate these 10 years of relationship with Worten and MDS, a decade during which we have managed, together, to strengthen the value proposition for Worten's customers, combining protection solutions, operational efficiency, and a strong focus on the best customer experience. We will continue to invest in innovative solutions to respond to new protection needs, with a firm commitment to repair and extending the lifespan of equipment, reflecting a clear commitment to a more sustainable consumption model," says Samy Moya-Angeler, Country Head Iberia & EU Client Management Director at Domestic & General.
