HDVCH Pediatric Pharmacy Technician Supervisor

Job Summary

• Ability to perform all Pharmacy Tech essential functions at an authoritative/expert resource level, under the direction of a pharmacist.
• Responsible for human capital issues, involving supervised team members; to include but not limited to, hiring, mentoring, development, evaluations, and performance management. Initiates personnel actions in accordance with departmental policies and organizational philosophy in collaboration with leadership.
• Responsible for the scheduling of pharmacy staff including, but not limited to, schedule development, completion of daily assignments and/or staffing changes for sick/call-in coverage.
• Assists in development, administers and monitors staff competencies and department required testing. Provides orientation, in-services and educational opportunities for technicians, interns and support personnel.
• Ensures continuous communication and collaboration with nursing staff and other team members to facilitate coordination and improvement of services, as well as problem resolution.
• Provides monitoring and reports for monthly reports and special projects.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Maintains all requirements for CPhT or ExCPT certifications. Completes all Corewell Health assigned competencies by assigned due dates.

Qualifications

• Required Associate's Degree or equivalent
• 2 years of relevant experience senior, lead or supervisory experience Required
• 2 years of relevant experience CPhT experience in a hospital pharmacy Preferred
• LIC-Pharmacy Technician - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required And
• CRT-Pharmacy Technician, Certified (CPHT) - PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Upon Hire required Or
• CRT-Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) - NHA National Healthcareer Association Upon Hire required
