  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
  • 2 year fluid power degree or formal training in industrial technology, mechanics or related field
  • 3+ years Hydraulic Experience
  • Experience in designing and building test fixtures
  • Experience in crossing units, tearing down core units, cleaning and preparing hydraulic units
  • Experience in assembling and testing subassemblies, hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and motors
  • Experience in measuring and verifying tolerances
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, build, and test cylinders, pumps, and motors
  • Evaluate warranty hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and motors
  • Attend advanced training within the hydraulic field
  • Reverse engineer hydraulic components
  • Create and document testing procedures
  • Train new and/or junior level hydraulic technicians
  • Provide hydraulic field service to off-site customers
  • Design test fixtures and test set-ups
  • Conduct intercompany training sessions
  • Coordinate workflow for machine shop with Production Manager
  • Coordinate with Production Manager on problem jobs, afterhours ESFs, and capital improvements for the hydraulic department
  • Maintain cleanliness levels within hydraulic test area and work station
  • Ensure safety rules and safe work practices are followed
  • Participate in continuous improvement through training and associate development
  • Correctly size, design, and select proper seals and sealing material
  • Read precision measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers
  • Own basic hand tools and specialty tools for servicing hydraulic equipment
  • Identify component serviceability and level with accuracy
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic systems and assist customers by phone or email
