Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services according to each resident’s assessment and care plan and supervisor direction.
  • Identify residents before administering treatments or serving meals using wristbands or photo cards.
  • Use only facility-authorized abbreviations when recording information.
  • Report changes in residents’ conditions to the Nurse Supervisor or Charge Nurse as soon as practical.
  • Record entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, and other records in an informative and descriptive manner.
  • Report accidents, incidents, occupational exposures, suspected abuse, unauthorized disclosures, and misappropriation of resident property according to facility procedures.
  • Perform only nursing-care procedures and special treatments for which the employee has been trained.
  • Prepare rooms and residents for admissions, transfers, discharges, examinations, medical tests, therapy, dental care, and transportation.
  • Greet and escort residents, introduce them to roommates and personnel, make them comfortable, and handle their personal possessions as instructed.
  • Maintain a warm, calm, and positive environment throughout the unit and shift.
  • Participate in nursing reports and meetings to identify and correct problem areas and improve services.
  • Follow policies concerning exposure to blood and body fluids.
  • Make beds and provide additional covers as requested.
  • Measure and record residents’ temperatures, pulses, respirations, weights, and measurements as instructed.
  • Check residents who cannot call for help and routinely verify that residents’ personal-care needs are being met.
  • Answer resident calls promptly.
  • Assist residents with food arrangements, record food and fluid intake, report changes in eating habits, and keep water pitchers clean, filled, and accessible.
  • Perform after-meal care.
  • Follow assigned tasks, work schedules, facility policies, procedures, and supervisor instructions.
  • Cooperate with interdepartmental and facility personnel to maintain adequate nursing services.
  • Assist residents with dental and mouth care, bathing, grooming, dressing, undressing, and changing wet or soiled clothing and linens.
  • Assist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, and lifts.
  • Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed.
  • Observe and report pressure areas, skin breakdowns, injuries of unknown source, and changes in disoriented or comatose residents.
  • Notify the Nurse Supervisor or Charge Nurse when a resident leaves or is missing from the facility.
  • Use only trained-for equipment and report defective equipment to the Nurse Supervisor or Charge Nurse.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of resident-care information and protected health information.
  • Honor residents’ refusal-of-treatment requests and report those requests to a supervisor.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with PCC is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

PACS Group has appointed Carey P. Hendrickson as chief financial officer, effective 27 April 2026. Hendrickson brings nearly four decades of financial leadership across healthcare, senior living and media sectors. Most recently, Hendrickson served as CFO of U.S. Physical Therapy, overseeing 779 outpatient clinics across 44 states. He previously held CFO roles at Capital Senior Living Corporation, managing 128 communities across 23 states, and Belo Corp. PACS Group has announced that co-founder and chief financial officer Mark Hancock will retire on 30 June 2026. He will continue serving on the company's board of directors as vice chairman. Hancock co-founded PACS in 2013 with Jason Murray, starting with two post-acute care facilities in San Diego. Under his leadership, the company expanded to 323 facilities across 17 states, serving over 31,700 patients daily and generating $5.29 billion in revenue in 2025, representing 29.3% year-on-year growth. Dr Conway currently serves as CEO of Optum, UnitedHealth Group's health services division with revenues exceeding $200 billion.
