Responsibilities
  • Design civil projects including water mains, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, roads, bridges, open drains, pedestrian pathways, parks, utility/miscellaneous infrastructure improvement designs
  • Perform evaluations and prepare design reports
  • Develop construction plans using local and state standards
  • Review and interpret plans and specifications
  • Prepare/assist with technical specifications and permit submittals
  • Assist Project Managers with review of scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks
  • Self-monitor task budgets and progress
  • Document design changes and communications
  • Conduct on-site inspections and field evaluations as needed for design purposes
  • Prepare project status reports, technical memorandums, and other written correspondence
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and scope of work
  • Attend client, public, project, and staff meetings
  • Maintain excellent client relations
  • Maintain a safe working environment
