En tant que développeur de pipelines d’éclairage 3D, vous apporterez votre connaissance approfondie des flux de travail d’éclairage multi-plans Katana et du développement d’outils pour aider à concevoir et à construire un pipeline d’éclairage Houdini Solaris. Vous collaborerez avec nos experts Houdini pour introduire des flux de travail éprouvés à l’échelle du studio dans le cadre Solaris et tirerez parti de votre vaste expérience de production pour créer des outils intuitifs et auto-documentés.
Principales responsabilités
- Architecturer, concevoir, construire et résoudre des problèmes complexes et systématiques dans le domaine des flux de travail de pipeline Houdini pour le département d’éclairage 3D
- Recueillir les exigences dans le cadre d’efforts de collaboration à grande échelle qui couvrent plusieurs départements et/ou disciplines
- Rédiger des résumés techniques et de la documentation pour les utilisateurs
- Collaborer avec la direction du développement logiciel et l’équipe de pipeline pour identifier et planifier les tâches
Qualifications requises
- Au minimum 5 ans d’expérience dans l’écriture de code pipeline Katana à l’aide de Python
- Capacité à écrire du code Python propre et bien structuré
- Compréhension de la conception d’objet orientée
- Talent démontré pour concevoir des flux de travail intuitifs et conviviaux pour les artistes sans renoncer à la fonctionnalité
Qualifications souhaitées
- Passé professionnel en tant qu’éclaireur 3D utilisant Katana en production
- Compréhension générale de la technologie de rendu
- Connaissance de Deadline
- Familiarité avec Houdini, en particulier l’écriture de code pipeline
- Connaissance de OpenUSD/Hydra
- Solides compétences en communication écrite et verbale
As a Lighting Pipeline Developer, you will bring your deep knowledge of Katana multi-shot lighting workflows and tool development to help design and build a Houdini Solaris lighting pipeline. You will collaborate with our Houdini experts to introduce tried-and-true, studio-scale workflows to the Solaris framework and leverage your extensive production experience to create intuitive and self-documenting tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, build and solve complex, systematic problems in the domain of Houdini pipeline workflows for lighting departments
- Gather requirements across large collaboration efforts that span multiple departments and/or disciplines
- Write technical briefs and user documentation
- Partner with software development leadership and pipeline team to identify and schedule tasks
Minimum Qualifications
- At least five (5) years of experience writing Katana pipeline code using Python
- Ability to write clean well structured Python code
- Understanding of object-oriented design
- Demonstrated talent for designing intuitive, artist-friendly workflows without sacrificing functionality
Preferred Qualifications
- Background as a lighter using Katana in production
- General understanding of rendering technology
- Familiarity with Deadline
- Familiarity using Houdini, especially writing pipeline code
- Familiarity with OpenUSD/ Hydra
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
