- A bachelor's degree in health care or equivalent experience is required.
- Clinical expertise within the field or specialty is required.
- Demonstrated skill in Materials Management and Information Systems is required.
- Implement cost-saving measures and cost-containment strategies through product standardization and consolidation.
- Access and conduct new product trials.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of the daily quality assurance reporting system.
- Prepare the monthly quality assurance report for the Operating Room Director.
- Determine instrument needs and resolve instrument issues by acting as a liaison between the Central Sterile Processing Department and the Operating Rooms.
- Manage the instrument coding and tracking system, including an automated database of all instruments ordered and received.
- Track and record instrument expenditures for operational budget development.
- Five to seven years of Operating Room or Central Sterile Services experience.
