Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, preferred.
  • Proven experience in facility engineering and / or project management, with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong technical background in facility design, construction, and operations.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Trimble or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products – Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Proficiency in Sketchup Pro and Layout, Auto CAD, or a comparable alternative.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a history of successfully leading and motivating project teams.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional internal stakeholders, including engineering teams, EHS, construction managers, and facilities personnel, to define and execute against project objectives and deliverables.
  • Utilize document management system(s) to organize and track all project documentation.
  • Own and implement project management best practices to ensure efficient execution and timely delivery of projects.
  • Utilize technical expertise, in partnership with stakeholders, to evaluate facility requirements and develop innovative solutions to meet project goals.
  • Provide technical expertise and direction throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, from conceptual design to commissioning and handover.
  • Understands basic facility electrical, mechanical, and environmental (HVAC, humidity, boiler, etc.) systems. Understands basic diagrams, sketches, operational manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications.
  • Collaborate with Site Facility Engineering and maintenance team members as required to provide direction on trouble shooting and issue resolution.
  • Identify potential risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
  • Develop and monitor project performance metrics, implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure adherence to project goals and objectives.
  • Scope and develop projects in conjunction with local facilities teams and corporate strategy groups.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including Cultivation, Manufacturing, Operations and Construction teams.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings and provide timely updates on project progress, milestones, and challenges.
  • Participates in relevant trade and industry events, bringing back leading-edge practices and technologies for the Cresco Team to consider.
  • Implement quality assurance processes to ensure that project deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and audits to verify compliance with engineering specifications, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to contribute ideas for enhancing project efficiency and effectiveness.
