Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Business Administration with a focus on analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Actuarial Science, Risk Management, or a related business discipline.
  • A Life and Health License is required upon hire.
  • At least 7 years of experience in analytics, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven success managing a team and delivering data-driven strategies.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and tool-development experience.
  • Experience solving problems and interpreting data to draw actionable insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
  • Experience with data mining and analytical tools such as Microsoft Access, SQL, SAS, SPSS, R, and Python.
  • Expertise in business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Qlik for visualization and reporting.
  • Familiarity with statistical methods and modeling techniques such as regression and cluster analysis.
  • Ability to manage and enhance databases and tools for analytics and reporting.
Responsibilities
  • Extrapolate and interpret data, perform statistical analysis, forecasting, and trending, and develop actionable analyses to support key client initiatives.
  • Work with internal and external customers on business problems, develop and maintain ongoing relationships, and identify new opportunities through research and analysis.
  • Present analysis and recommendations clearly and concisely to C-level executives.
  • Drive enhancements to existing reporting through automation, trending, and visualization.
  • Develop and automate professional-level reports and models using a variety of visualization tools and techniques.
  • Motivate, mentor, develop, and direct a team of analysts.
  • Lead and oversee an analytics team delivering actionable insights, enhancing operational processes, and developing tools for evolving client needs.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience in health insurance analytics.
  • Basic experience with statistical or programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Experience developing analytical tools.
