Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current/valid Florida nursing license
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Moderate to advanced computer literacy and skills
  • Customer service skills
  • ACLS and BLS
Responsibilities
  • Administers care using the nursing process to patients receiving care in the Pain Management Area
  • Performs assessments and reassessments focusing on the physical and psychosocial health status of the patient
  • Coordinates the plan of care with patients, family and interdisciplinary team
  • Acts as a liaison between patients, caregivers and community resources
  • Evaluates patient for improvement after implementation of plan of care
  • Maintains complete confidentiality of all medical, financial, employees, computer and other sensitive materials
  • Attends meetings as needed
  • Develops and maintains clinical competency
  • Maintains documentation of the continuing education requirements
  • Practices within the guidelines as set forth by the Florida Board of Nursing
  • Serves as mentor, preceptor and coach to new staff
Desired Qualifications
  • BSN preferred
  • 3 years recent Pain Management nursing experience preferred
  • Recent experience in administering moderate sedation
