This position will focus on developing and testing software for the solvers and meshers behind our simulation offerings in Fusion 360. You will be part of a team that is focusing on improving the quality and capabilities of our tools by leveraging your computer science skills and interest in solving real-world mechanical engineering problems.
Responsibilities
Analyze failure modes and rates of solvers and meshers that run on cloud and are used by thousands of users.
Research solutions to prevent failures.
Create and document models that stress test solvers and meshers.
Communicate research findings to product teams and propose solutions.
Collaborate with product teams working on the Fusion Simulation solvers.
Minimum Requirements
Full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent at an accredited program in the United States with at least one academic term to complete post internship to be eligible.
Familiarity with C++ and Python.
Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Eagerness to learn.

About the US Intern Program
The 2023 U.S. program runs for 12 weeks (May 22 – August 11 or June 12 – September 1) and will be remote (subject to change). All internships are paid. Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting annualized base salary between $41,000 and $81,400. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
