Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
  • Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date
  • One year of registered nursing experience
  • The ability to provide professional nursing care for patients in an inpatient hospital setting
  • Knowledge and skills at the advanced beginner level necessary to provide care relevant to the patient(s) under their care and the ability to assess and interpret patient data needed to identify each patient's age-specific needs
  • The ability to apply competent clinical knowledge skills and use independent nursing judgment for care provided by self and by health care providers to whom care is delegated
  • Demonstrates the ability to assess and interpret patient data needed to identify each patient\'s age-specific needs (growth and development over the life span)
  • Ability to participate in growth and development processes over the lifespan and to assess and interpret data for age-specific care
  • Compliance with professional standards in providing care in an inpatient setting
  • Flexibility to work with the CAPE program advancement pathway and meet level requirements as applicable
  • Adherence to ethical and legal rights of patients and maintaining a safe and ethical work environment
