Summary
We are looking for a Compliance Engineer to join our compliance team. Your job will be to ensure testing for regulatory bodies around the world is done in an organized, systematic way.
Requirements
- Manage Product certification by working with cross-functional teams to achieve schedule targets
- Implement and demonstrate compliance for products and maintain documentation and records for continual compliance
- Develop the strategy and plan for certification of new products to ensure we global compliance standards
- Identify, mitigate and manage compliance risk across the course of project execution
- Coordinate certification testing with third-party laboratories and lead product readiness for certification testing
- Keep cross-functional teams updated on project status
- Prepare instructions and samples for internal and third-party testing
- Collaborate with different teams for troubleshooting efforts
- Perform product change assessment for regulatory requirements and conduct necessary testing
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant compliance experience
- Knowledge of wireless products, regulatory requirements, and approval process
- Technical background and hands-on experience in safety, wireless, and EMC certifications of complex products
- Ability to conduct risk analysis to eliminate risks
- Capability to work with regulatory bodies in diverse fields to create an acceptance and compliance plan for new/unconventional products
- Hands-on experience with traditional consumer electronics, safety and regulatory for technologies like WiFi, BT, NFC, LTE a plus
- Exposure to quality management systems and standard operation procedures such as IEC, ISO is a plus
- Ability to extract relevant product requirements from reference standards to successfully drive product certification
- Willingness to work across multiple market sectors for successful technology and product infusion through the compliance and regulatory process
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multitask
- Excellent teamwork skills collaboration and high degree of initiative required
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Work independently and possess a high level of motivation and proactiveness
- Must be proficient with Microsoft & Google Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- BSEE in Electrical Engineering
The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $250,000, plus bonuses and Pre-IPO equity. It is uncommon for anyone to be hired at or near the top range for their role, and final compensation is based on the facts and circumstances of the case. The compensation range is broad because it reflects many factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, and training directly relevant to the role, business and company needs, cultural fit, level, and location.
