Requirements
  • 3-5 years of practical experience as a financial/accounting analyst
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related discipline
  • Demonstrated intermediate to advanced capabilities in SQL and Excel.
  • Experience with data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and advanced Excel functionalities (including XLOOKUP, MATCH, INDEX, SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Partner effectively with our operational business teams
  • Manage monthly sales commission expense accruals and deferred acquisition expenses
  • Conduct testing of sales commission calculations and SOX audit controls
  • Deliver ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and support as needed
  • Develop the monthly financial operations scorecard, present key insights, and explain variances (i.e., premium billing, A/R aging, and outstanding claims payments)
  • Identify areas for operational process improvement and/or automation
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience and proficiency with Power Query, Power Pivot, and working with databases
  • Insurance industry experience
